Newly acquired Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez, has admitted that his psychologist told him to make an apology to Giorgio Chiellini.
Suarez was found guilty of biting the Italian defender in Uruguay’s clash with the Azzurri at this summer’s World Cup and is now subsequently facing a four month ban from competitive football.
He commented on the incident at his presentation following his £65 million transfer to Barcelona from Liverpool.
"I did worry about all that I had done. "But now I am only thinking of the present," he admitted as quoted by The Daily Mirror.
"After it happened I was a bit depressed. I spoke to my psychologist and he said I have to say sorry.
"The ban is what it is. I hope that the ban can pass really quickly. Hopefully it will while I am training with my new teammates.”
Suarez then commented on this season’s first El Clasico encounter, which will take place one day after his ban ends.
"I will train hard and get myself in the best possible shape (for the Clasico against Real Madrid). I don't see any problems arriving in that game in good shape," he added
Luis Suarez made his official debut for the Catalan giants yesterday, but failed to score a goal.
