Barcelona got off to a slow start, conceding first but still ran out comfortable winners in their 4-1 La Liga clash with Real Valladolid at the Camp Nou without the injured Lionel Messi.
Javi Guerra gave the visitors a shock lead over their hosts in the 10th minute, when he got on the end of Patrick Ebert corner to head home and open the scoring.
Tata Martino's men responded four minutes later with an unstoppable shot by Alexis Sánchez and drew the hosts back on level terms.
Valladolid caused their hosts problems in the first half, but it was one-way traffic in the second period as Xavi, Sanchez and Neymar all got on the score-sheet.
The home side had to wait until the 52nd minute before taking the lead through Xavi, who side-footed home to find the bottom corner.
Neymar who had a relatively quiet first-half started to come into his own as the game progressed, and was soon involved when he setup Alexis in the 64th minute to double the Catalan’s lead.
Alexi’s then repaid the favour six minutes later when he found himself the area, but instead of shooting the Chilean passed to Neymar, who calmly placed a slot home Barca’s fourth of the evening.
Barcelona managed to extend their 100 per cent start without the injured Messi, going on to win their 19th consecutive home match in La Liga and looked dangerous without their Argentine superstar.
