Barcelona defeated Malaga 4-2 in the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter final to set up a mouth-watering Clasico clash with Real Madrid in the semi-final.
The tie was locked at 2-2 after the first leg and with a spot in the semi still very much up for grabs it was Barcelona who took the lead through Pedro Rodriguez only eight minutes in.
Malaga hit back almost immediately as Joaquin equalised with the game remaining deadlocked until the half time whistle.
After the break Barca restored their lead as Gerard Pique got his name on the scoresheet but Malaga refused to lie down and levelled once again.
The hosts found their equaliser in the 68th minute, this time through a Roque Santa Cruz strike.
The La Liga leaders went in front for the third time in the match less than ten minutes later as Andres Iniesta scored.
The result was then made certain by Lionel Messi as he headed home his 40th goal of the season.
Real Madrid await in the next round for the Catalans, a third consecutive Cop del Rey meeting between the two clubs.
