Alex Sanchez got Barca's third in the 50th minute, Jimenez fumbled Martin Montoya's effort but Sanchez was on hand to slot home the rebound.
Sanchez got his second and Barcelona's fourth just two minutes later after a goal mouth scramble, the ball fell into the path of Sanchez, who calmly slotted home.
Barcelona were on the attack again in the 58th minute as Marc Batra went for the spectacular but the defender's bicycle kick failed to hit the target.
Pedro almost got his name on the score sheet in the 64th minute, but the winger's effort from inside the box drew a fine save from Jimenez.
Fabregas got on the score sheet in the 68th minute, the midfielder calmly slotted home from close range after some good work by Sanchez.
After the fifth goal Barcelona continued to enjoy their usual lion-share of the possession as they saw out the match.
