Mario Balotelli has hit back at sprint superstar Usain Bolt, after disparaging remarks the Jamaican Olympian made about him.
The fastest man in history is in Rome for Thursday night’s Golden League track event, and was asked about AC Milan and Italy striker Balotelli in an interview with TG1.
It seems that when it comes to the former Manchester City man, Bolt's mouth runs lightning fast too.
"Balotelli is a great football player, although perhaps a little too aggressive for my tastes," said Bolt, who is a Manchester United fan and fancies himself an ace footballer.
"He never misses a penalty. I've met him a couple of times and to be honest I don't like him very much."
Super Mario was clearly unimpressed, and answered the athlete in a tweet that his since been deleted.
"@usainbolt: get to no (sic) people before to judge them! Isn’t very kind what u said about me," Balotelli said.
Bolt has gone on record to say that he dreams of playing for Manchester United one day, and so perhaps he is bitter at the role Super Mario played in denying the Red Devils the English Premier League title two seasons ago.
