Italy striker Mario Balotelli believes that they can make it all the way to the final of the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
The AC Milan forward scored a vital second-half goal as the Italians beat Mexico 2-1 in their opening game of the competition and says that it was a great result.
"It was a great game, a great feeling and a wonderful crowd. I don’t care about the referee, the important thing is that we won. That’s all," he told Rai Sport after the game.
“If we win the next game, then we can progress. It would be wonderful to play here in the final and we will do everything to get there, it doesn't matter who it is against.
“Do we have what it takes to reach the final? I think we really do.”
The former Manchester City forward earned a yellow card for removing his shirt while celebrating the winning goal, but says that he did not realise two bookings in the competition led to a suspension.
“I didn't know there was this rule about the two bookings leading to a suspension in this tournament. Next time I won’t do it," he added.
