Balotelli Wants To Stay At Milan

AC Milan and Italy forward, Mario Balotelli, has denied rumours that he could re-unite with his former manager, Jose Mourinho, at Chelsea.

The controversial Italian is believed to be on the verge of being forced to leave the San Siro just a year after joining them from Manchester City.

Balotelli's club were forced to issue a statement denying that owner Silvio Berlusconi wanted to move the Italy forward on after he kept making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Meanwhile, Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, albeit declaring publicly he will not add a striker in January, seems to be keen to secure a new goal-scorer to boost his side’s title charges.

However, Balotelli has denied claims that is ready to leave Milan and wants to stay settled ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

“I am staying at Milan,” he is quoted by the Daily Star.

“I have to get ready for the World Cup and stay calm.”

The Rossoneri are experiencing a difficult season so far, but have started 2014 with a 3-0 victory, where Balotelli didn't make the starting line-up due to sickness.

In the opening half of the season, Mario Balotelli scored six Seria A goals in 13 matches and made a few negative noises through two suspensions, injury and two missed penalties already.

Prior to his move to Italy, he had scored all 26 attempts he had taken as a professional and was marked as never missing a penalty.

The 23-year-old has previously worked under Mourinho at Inter Milan, but the pair had a number of notable clashes.

Will Balotelli stay in Italy and will Mourinho stick to his word of not adding another striker to the Chelsea squad? Have your say in the comment section below.
