AC Milan forward, Mario Ballotelli, has told Marca that Cristiano Ronaldo is almost perfect as a footballer and he is confident his new coach, Clarence Seedorf, will turn the tide at San Siro.
Balotelli’s AC Milan are facing Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last-16 and the game will also be a duel between the Italian striker and Atletico’s top-scorer, Diego Costa.
The 23-year-old, who scored a stunning goal to ensure Milan’s 1-0 over Bologna on Friday, was flattered by praise from opposition manager, Diego Simeone, but stated he is just focussed on Milan.
"Atlético is doing really well in the Spanish championship. It's a great team,” Balotelli said.
"The tie is between Milan and Atlético (and not between Balotelli and Diego Costa). He seems like a very good player.
"Simeone was a great player and is a great coach. It is always an honour for a coach to rate me. At the moment, I'm with Milan. I can't say much more.”
The Italy international also heaped praise for his own manager, Clarence Seedorf, and is confident the former AC Milan player can lead the Rossonieri back to old glory.
"Seedorf and I talked about the situation in the team and about the things I need to do on the field,” he continued.
“I'm happy. In this situation, changes are normal.
“Seedorf is a great champion and it's a pleasure to listen to him. He was also a great player. Hopefully it will all go well.”
When asked about Manchester City's clash against Barcelona, Balotelli confirmed he hopes his former teammates can beat one of the Champions League favourites.
"I hope City beats Barcelona. My former teammates are there, but it will be very tough,” he added.
“Barcelona is one of the favourites at the moment".
Finally, Balotelli told Marca that he thinks Cristiano Ronaldo: "is almost perfect as a footballer."
Milan first host Atletico Madrid at San Siro on Wednesday before traveling to Vincente Caldero on March 11.
