Real Madrid continue to leer at Gareth Bale, with the likelihood increasing by the day that they will attempt to lure the Spurs star to the Bernabeu.
President Florentino Perez has admitted that fancies buying Bale, suggesting that the Welshman was “born” to play for Los Blancos.
"Bale was born to play in Madrid," Perez told Marca, when asked if the English Premier League Player of the Season is on Real’s radar.
Spurs are waiting for Bale to let them know if he intends to sign a contract extension.
Real meanwhile, could soon reveal their hand, with a bid in the region of £60 million and the promise of Champions League football almost certain to make Bale take notice.
Perez also admitted that Liverpool star Luis Suarez is in Real Madrid’s thinking, but did not say whether or not they would tempt to prise him away from Anfield.
"Suarez is a great player and I am sure all in the world would want him. I like him and others too, but it does not always fit," he said.
While Perez is seemingly vacillating on the topic of Suarez, one player he remains resolute about is Cristiano Ronaldo.
And he has reiterated has intention to retain the services of the Portuguese superstar at any cost.
"He has two years on his deal and is the best in the world," Perez said about CR7.
"I will do my best to get him to sign a new contract and would not sell him for €100m.
“We are not a selling club. I would like him to finish his career here."
