The world’s most expensive footballer Gareth Bale has promised to show why Real Madrid broke the transfer record to bring the Welshman from Tottenham Hotspurs during the transfer window.
The powerful winger has had a torrid start to his career at the Bernabeu since his arrival from London, but believes that the injuries that frustrated his La Liga start are now well behind him and he is almost fully fit.
"The best is yet to come. I've just finished my pre-season and I can still give more,” he told Real Madrid TV.
"Now I'll be able to score more goals and help the team achieve success.”
"It was just a matter of time until I got to 100 per cent. Now everyone is seeing what I can do,” Bale added.
"I need to keep working and hopefully there will be more goals."
Bale who has now scored scored three goals in his last four games for Carlo Ancelotti's side is proving himself to the Real fans, and has heaped special praise on Ballon d'Or” nominee and goal scoring machine Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Cristiano is incredible; he scores hat-tricks every week. It's a pleasure to play with him," the Welsh winger concluded.
