Australia look set to follow Japan to Brazil 2014 from Asian qualifying.
The Socceroos hammered Jordan 4-0 in Melbourne last night, to solidify their grip on second place in their Asian qualifying group.
Marco Bresciano, Tim Cahill, Robbie Kruse and Lucas Neill scored the goals to ease the Antipodean nation’s jitters.
Australia went into the match in third place behind surprise package Oman, and simply had to win.
They are now just 90 minutes from joining already qualified Japan on the plane to Brazil.
The Samurai Blue meanwhile, eased to 1-0 win over Iraq.
In Group A, South Korea are within touching distance of Brazil, after beating second place Uzbekistan 1-0.
They now just need a single point from their last match against Iran to seal their World Cup deal.
Had Iran lost to Lebanon, South Korea would have qualified already.
But Iran made sure that the last round of matches will be exciting, by beating Lebanon 4-0.
