Despite their impressive transfer window Manchester United look to have missed out on one of their major targets, Arturo Vidal.
Reports claim the Seria A champions have rejected a last £30 million bid by Louis van Gaal’s side.
Juventus reportedly told United they had set 15 August as deadline for the transfer and that trying to negotiate so near to the transfer deadline would leave them insufficient time for finding a replacement.
Van Gaal reportedly identified Vidal as his new midfield motor and was keen to secure his physical presence and goal-scoring threat.
Despite missing out on Vidal, the Dutchman was handed a major boost as it seems his club secured a loan-deal with purchase option for Radamel Falcao.
The Colombia star follows Daley Blind (announcement imminent), Angel Di Maria, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera and would take United’s transfer expenses to over £150 million.
