Argentina and Colombia played out a hotly contested 0-0 draw in a 2014 World Cup qualifier at the Estadio Monumental.
An open start to the game saw the atmosphere heated and it eventually led to Cristian Zapata and Gonzalo Higuain being sent off.
The game then got fairly conservative and neither side was able to find a breakthrough over 90 minutes as they each took a point.
Argentina star Lionel Messi started on the bench in the game but this did not stop a bright start where Pablo Zabaleta just missed Walter MOntillo and Sergio Aguero with a cross.
Higuain then saw his shot blocked by the on-rushing goalkeeper while Radamel Falcao somehow headed wide from just outside the six-yard area.
Things boiled over in the 26th minute when Higuain put in an overzealous challenga on Ospina. Zapata reacted poorly and kicked out at the player - resulting in his sending off. The referee then hunted down Higuain following protests and handed the punishment to the Real Madrid man.
Chances dried up after the incident, but Messi came on to see a shot tipped around the post in the second-half while Aguero saw a goal ruled out in a contentious offside decision.
Argentina remain firmly in control of the group though, with Ecuador having going down 1-0 to Peru. Ecuador and Colombia are five points off the leaders.
Chile remained in fourth place with a 2-1 win away to Paraguay while Bolivia and Venezuela played out a 1-1 draw.
