Andres Iniesta has revealed he is looking forward to linking up with Luis Suarez and says the Uruguayan is 'dying' to go.
The Spaniard also says Neymar will have more impact in his second season at Camp Nou and Lionel Messi will return to his old strengths this year.
“I've spoken with Luis Suarez and he's dying to get going. It’s very important for him to be with the squad, the sooner the better,” Iniesta said at a charity event.
"We hope that Neymar can continue to improve this season. As regards Leo (Messi), there are no doubts about his determination and ambition, they couldn't be any higher. He has the eagerness we all have after a bad year.
However, the 30-year-old was critical of recent pre-season tours and insists the players can prepare much better when staying close to home.
"I think that it's the best way to prepare for a season, with less travelling and games. It's much better to be able to train here, especially when there are new players,” he continued.
Iniesta also insisted that the squad may need a little time to adapt to Luis Enrique, but the players have 'total faith' in their new boss.
"Nothing has changed, just that it’s a different coach with new ideas. He's a different type of manager and we need to adapt to what he wants from us," Iniesta added.
“Luis Enrique is a demanding manager but almost all the work we do is with the ball. It’s nice to work on tactics that way.
“The important thing is for the players to believe in the manager, and in that respect, we all have total faith.”
