Carlo Ancelotti has added his voice to the chorus singing the praises of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The big Swede has suddenly become an outside favourite to scoop the Ballon d’Or, thanks to his outsize talent and ability to score sublime goals.
Ibra and Ancelotti worked together to great success at Paris Saint Germain, where his flurry of goals and the Italian’s tactics resulted in the club’s first Ligue 1 title since 1994 last season.
When Ancelotti was poached by Real Madrid, there were rumours that Ibra would go with him.
The former Barcelona striker would probably like nothing more than to exact revenge on the Blaugrana under Ancelotti, in the colours of their biggest rivals.
But while he believes Ibra is one of “the three best players” in the business and would love to work with him again, Ancelotti says that is unlikely to happen.
"For me, the three best players in the world are Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic," Ancelotti told Cadena Cope.
"But I can't bring him in. He has a huge contract with PSG, and I don't think he wants to leave."
"I've never had any problem with him," Ancelotti continued, showering praise on Ibra.
"He's a great player with a lot of desire, he wants to win everything. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is very focused, very professional. I love players that are as focused as him."
Do you think Ibra would be a success at Real Madrid?
