New Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has promised to deliver the “most spectacular football” to the Bernabeu during his tenure.
The Italian is being touted as the right man to restore civility to the Madrid dressing room, after Jose Mourinho’s toxic last few months there.
Ancelotti will be assisted in his effort to bring beautiful football to the Bernabeu by Zinedine Zidane, a club legend who was responsible for some of the most sumptuous goals ever scored there, and who he knows well from his time as manager of Serie A giants Juventus.
Together, Ancelotti and Zizou will be responsible for tending the talents of Madrid’s most important current player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
At his unveiling as the new boss of Los Blancos, Ancelotti could not hide his excitement at the prospect of managing superstar CR7, who he says will complete the collection of world-class players he has had the privilege to work with.
"My opinion is easy. Ronaldo's a fantastic, marvellous player," Ancelotti said of the Portuguese goal machine.
"It's an honour to coach a player like Ronaldo like it was to coach Zidane.
"Ronaldo was not on the list of players like Brazilian Ronaldo, Zidane and Ronaldinho that I coached.
"He will be on the list of players I coached now and I am so happy for that."
Meanwhile, Real president, Florentino Perez, has reportedly confirmed that he has beaten Manchester City to the signing of in-demand Malaga starlet, Isco.
According to AS, once Isco has passed a medical he will be unveiled as a Madrid player later this week, and will be another paint with which Ancelotti can create his master canvas.
"The club and the player have reached an agreement," Perez is quoted as saying.
"Isco is one of the great players of Spain and the club's technical staff believe he has the quality to play for Madrid. I know he is enthusiastic to come here, just as I am enthusiastic about him coming."
