After AC Milan lost their fifth game in the Serie A this season, a 2-0 loss to Fiorentina on Saturday, their coach Massimiliano Allegri is finding himself under a lot of pressure.
Milan's next fixtures are against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, and Chievo next Sunday in the Serie A, and there is already talk that if there aren't positive results in these games, the club may have to act.
After Saturday's result, fans at the San Siro let themselves be heard, as they booed the players and staff, and one prominent banner questioned the club's transfer policy.
"It's not a question of what we did in the transfer market, we've had a lot of injuries and we need to rediscover our balance," said Allegri. "A team can't play as badly as we did."
"Our performances against Barcelona, Udinese and Parma make me believe that we can recover,"
"In football only results matter," said Allegri.
"Often how they are obtained is forgotten but they're the only thing that count."
