Mohammed Youssef has named his Al Ahly squad that will travel to Morocco next month for the FIFA Club World Cup.
This is the fifth Club World Cup that Al Ahly will go to, and last season they ended fourth.
Al Ahly beat Orlando Pirates in the final of the CAF Champions League to qualify for the tournament, where they will face off against Asian champions Guangzhou Evergrande from China on December 14th.
The winner of that encounter will play European champions Bayern Munich three days later.
Ahmed Abdel-Zaher, who scored in the CAF Champions League final, has been excluded from the squad after being suspended from the club.
This tournament is set to be the last time Mohamed Abou-Treika takes the field, after he announced he would retire after it. However Youssef has indicated that he is trying to convince Abou-Treika to continue playing.
If Abou-Treika scores at the finals, he will become the all-time leading goalscorer at this tournament, a record he currently shares with Denilson and Lionel Messi.
The squad is:
Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel Abdel-Monem, Mahmoud Abou El-Sooud
