Mario Balotelli could still move to AC Milan, according to the agent of his Italian international team-mate, Ignazio Abate.
Agent Claudio Pasqualin says Milan are still hunting for the cash to fund a deal for Balotelli, and could use his client- Abate- to raise the funds to buy the Manchester City striker.
Abate is wanted by former Roma boss Luciano Spaletti at Russian club, Zenit St Petersburg.
Zenit have already had one bid for Abate rejected by the Rossoneri. But Pasqualin says if the Russians round up some more roubles, the Rossoneri would not reject them.
And then they may have enough money to move for Mario, who has been left festering on the bench at the Etihad.
“We thank Zenit and Spalletti for their interest but the lad will remain in Italy with Milan,” the agent told reporters.
“If Zenit raise their offer, then maybe something will change, considering Milan are looking for the cash to take Mario Balotelli.”
Balotelli's own agent has repeatedly insisted that the striker will not be leaving Manchester City anytime soon.
But recent reports have suggested that Balotelli has given notice that he is leaving his rented Manchester mansion, fueling speculation that he sees his future elsewhere.
