Fans are used to reading about superstars such as Dani Alves and Lionel Messi when discussing the sports' most decorated footballers, but there are some other players out there whose cabinets are lot fuller than many might imagine.
While the aforementioned Brazilian has claimed 39 pieces of silverware throughout his career, the Argentine has won 34 titles at the highest level, but who are the players who might not get the plaudits they deserve?
Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara picked up his 23rd trophy when the Bavarians secured the 2019/20 Bundesliga title, but perhaps is not discussed as a serial winner, even though it is something that he has proved to be since arriving on the scene at FC Barcelona years ago.
The Spaniard claimed eight titles with the Catalan giants before his move to Bayern in 2013 and adding 15 more trophies to his name in Germany, of which seven have come in the form of league titles.
Juventus fullback Danilo, 29, features in our gallery for his 15 title wins, having won silverware in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, England and now Italy. While his importance in those victories might be questioned, the Selecao international does seem to have a knack for success.
