These players have various reasons for their dry patches in front of goal, but the international break might be the turning point for some of them.
Ronaldo is arguably the player with the biggest profile on this list, and it is certainly surprising for some that he hasn't found the back of the net for Juventus yet. The Portugal international has played 270 minutes for the Serie A side this season, and has had more than 20 shots at goal already.
Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa has featured in all three of his club's LaLiga games so far in this campaign and has struggled to get going, but many feel it won't be long before he starts scoring. The former Chelsea star is a natural goalscorer and managed to net twice in the UEFA Super Cup final in August.
Since his €68 million (R1.16 billion) move from Leicester City to Manchester City, Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez has also had no luck in front of goal. It may take some time for him to get used to Pep Guardiola's playing style, though.
