Sadly, Etienne Eto'o was left out of Cameroon's FIFA U17 World Cup team, but still has many years to make his father, Samuel, proud. The 17-year-old represents Mallorca's U17 side in Spain, the same club his father spent four years at before joining FC Barcelona.
Depending on the career he has, Etienne could be one half of what could later become one of football's most successful families, but he has some way to go.
In South Africa, a popular family in the sport is Jomo Sono and his sons Bamuza Sono and Matsilele. While their father represented Mzansi giants Orlando Pirates at the highest level, Bamuza went on to have a long career at Jomo Cosmos, the club his father owns and Matsilele has also played for.

Perhaps not known to many, former Arsenal and Barca midfielder Alexandre Song is the nephew of Cameroon legend Rigobert Song. While Rigobert retired in 2010 after two years in Turkey, Alexandre currently plays for Sion in Switzerland.
Similarly, Alex Iwobi is the nephew of legendary Nigerian midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha. While the latter had an incredible international career with the Super Eagles, Alex is only getting started.
