Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Make Manchester United Comeback?
Former Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic could reportedly make a sensational return to Manchester United.
According to the Daily Mirror, the 35-year-old striker could sign a new deal with the Red Devils when he recovers from his injury.
Ibrahimovic, who is now a free agent, tore ligaments in his knee while playing for the Old Trafford club against Belgian side Anderlecht in the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League last season.
The striker, who is busy with his recovery at the club's Carrington training centre, is only expected to return to football in early 2018.
Mourinho is said to be keeping a close eye on the Swede's rehabilitation, and could offer him a new deal if he believe his squad needs more firepower come January.
It has been reported that the Portuguese manager is impressed with how Ibrahimovic's recovery is going, and the player is also happy with how the club has treated him since the operation.
The forward made 46 appearances for the Red Devils last season, scoring 28 goals and assisting 10 further strikes in all competitions.
