Zinedine Zidane Comments On Kylian Mbappe Links

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has remained tight-lipped over his side's transfer plans, but did recently comment on Los Blancos being linked with Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe.

Reports: Real Shortlist Four Strikers If They Fail To Land Mbappe

According to reports in Spain, Real will open their cheque book before the window closes in order to sign a striker after selling Alvaro Morata to 2016/17 Premier League champions Chelsea last week.

Chatting after his side's 2-1 penalty shootout loss to Manchester United on the weekend, Zidane was asked whether or not he has requested his club's board to sign 18-year-old Mbappe ahead of the upcoming season.

"You know I will not ask for anything," Zidane replied, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

"I'm talking to the president. The staff. We have 28 here, and I'm happy with the job. Then we'll see what happens.

"Until August 31 anything can happen. I do not request anything."

The France international has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu for a few months now, but it seems no formal bid has been made as yet.
