Several high-profile players have joined the Asian country's top flight in recent weeks, with two of them among the 10 most costly players to join the CSL.
Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar remains at the top of the list, having joined Shanghai SIPG for £54 million (R872.70 million) two years ago, a transfer that shocked many at the time.
Second is Hulk's £50.22 million (R811.61 million) to Shanghai in the same window, while Alex Teixeira's switch to Jiangsu Suning from Shakhtar Donetsk for £45 million (R727.25 million) is the third most expensive transfer in CSL history.
Jackson Martínez's 2015 transfer from Atletico Madrid to Guangzhou Evergrande for £37.80 million (R610.89 million) is fourth in the ranking, above Cedric Bakambu, who signed for Beijing Sinobo Guoan in 2017 for £36 million (R581.80 million).
Carrasco has become one of the latest star signings in China, along with his ex-Atletico teammate Nicolas Gaitan, who does not make this top 10. The Belgian joined newly promoted side Dalian Yifang for £27 million (R436.35 million).
Anthony Modeste also joined the division this year, with his move reportedly worth £26.10 million (R407.26 million), ahead of Ramires, who joined Jiangsu Suning for £25.20 million (R407.26 million) in 2015, and Odion Ighalo, who signed for Changchun Yatai two years ago for £20.97 million (R338.90 million).
