Former FC Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has revealed he is in discussion with a number of European clubs as he seeks to prolong his illustrious career.
The 37-year-old, who has also played for the likes of Inter Milan and Chelsea, ended a three-year stint in Turkey last season, during which he played for Antalyaspor and Konyaspor.
Eto'o, who is now a free agent and is looking to join the 13th club of his professional career, has now claimed a few French clubs are talking to his agent.
"I am still looking at the market. I will take my decision in the next few days," the Cameroonian said, as quoted by ESPN.
"If I told you I am not talking to certain French clubs, I would be lying, because, through my lawyer, I have said that I am open to offers from France. We have offers. We are going to see which suits me best, at the end of my career, and I will make my choice.
"What I want is to keep playing football. I want to play for another two seasons and then end my career and start a new life."
With a career spanning more than two decades, the former Cameroon international believes he still has lots to offer, despite no longer having the physical powers he once possessed.
"I know how to score goals, that is what I have done all my life, and that is what I will continue doing," he added.
"It is more difficult for defenders because there comes a time when you do not have the pace you had, but even if I am not as fast as I was when I was 20, I am still quick, and I make up for the rest with experience."
