Reports: Philippe Coutinho Exit Still Possible As FC Barcelona Submit Final Bid
FC Barcelona have reportedly submitted a final bid for wantaway Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.
With the Spanish transfer window only closing at midnight on Friday night, the Blaugrana are hoping they can still wrap up this deal.
According to Sport English, Barcelona put in a final offer for the Brazilian international just hours before England's transfer deadline.
The La Liga giants have already seen three bids of £70 million (R1.17 billion), £90 million (R1.51 billion) and £118 million (R1.98 billion) being rejected by Liverpool.
The fourth and final bid is rumoured to be about £138 million (R2.31 billion), a fee that would make Coutinho Barcelona's most expensive signing ever.
Liverpool have played hardball with the Camp Nou club so far, and have been adamant they will not sell their star player for any price.
Barca manager Ernesto Valverde is keen to bolster his attacking options in order to try to bridge the gap between them and Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old has made 181 appearances for the Reds so far, scoring 42 goals and assisting a further 37 strikes.
