Reports: Paris Saint-Germain Ready To Trigger Neymar's €222m Buyout Clause
Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to pay a world record fee for FC Barcelona superstar Neymar.
According to Marca, the French side is willing to activate the Brazilian's buyout clause, which is set at €222 million (R3.3 billion).
PSG are said to be hoping the likes of Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura will be able to assist them in landing the 25-year-old, who could be in line to earn about €30 million (R445 million) a year in the French capital.
Manchester United and Manchester City are also believed to be interested in Neymar's services, but the two rivals are apparently not willing to meet his huge clause.
However, Barcelona spokesman Josep Vives has stated that the club is not worried about the speculation around their Brazilian attacker as they believe the player is happy at the club.
"The only thing we care is he keeps being happy here," Vives said during a press conference, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
"He played a magnificent season and he is still one of the best in the world.
"He is happy in the club and the club is happy with him. He verbalises it and he shows it with his attitude. We are relaxed about that and we only hope next season is better than the last one.
"Neymar's departure is not in the club's imagination; the club just thinks of keeping the best players like him, one of our main symbols."
Neymar has made 186 appearances for the Blaugrana since joining in 2013, scoring 105 goals and assisting 80 further strikes.
