Reports: Manchester City On The Verge Of Selling Another Star
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are currently undergoing a clearout, and new reports suggest that another player is on the verge of exiting the club.
According to The Sun, Brazilian midfielder Fernando is close to joining Turkish giants Galatasaray on a three-year deal.
The former FC Porto star is apparently in Turkey waiting on a medical, and if he passes it, he will make the move for £5.5million (R96.5 million).
Fernando was not part of the Citizens' pre-season tour to the United States, and is said to have been informed that he has no future at the club.
The Brazilian has made only one appearance for the Citizens since December – an FA Cup fixture against Huddersfield.
With the Manchester side having already spent £220 million (R3.8 billion) in this window, the club wants to balance the books by getting rid of players who are surplus to requirements.
City are still apparently looking to sell Samir Nasri, Fabian Delph, Wilfried Bony and Eliaquim Mangala in this window, but there has been very little interest in these players.
