The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a world record move to Paris Saint-Germain, with reports suggesting the €222 million (R3.46 billion) could be announced this week.
According to the Daily Mirror, Barcelona are looking to the Premier League to find a replacement for Neymar.
First on the club's wish list is Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, and the Catalan giants are reportedly prepared to offer €100 million (R1.56 billion) for the attacking midfielder.
While some reports suggest that Coutinho would be keen to join the La Liga giants, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted the player will not leave Anfield in this window.
"He is not for sale. There is no interpretation at all. If you say he is available to be sold? I don't understand that," he said recently, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard and Tottenham Hotspur starlet Dele Alli are reportedly also on Barca's list should Neymar indeed leave the Camp Nou.
Hazard has previously been linked with Real Madrid, but Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has insisted the Belgian is happy at the club.
"He is very happy to stay with us and to play for Chelsea," the Italian tactician said.
"I don't know anything about this situation. In the past, I read a lot of stories about Hazard with Real Madrid. And now Barcelona. But this is the transfer market, we must understand this."
It remains to be seen who Barca would go after if Neymar does leave the club, but it seems the Brazilian's potential world record deal could have a massive knock-on effect in the transfer market.
