Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly leading the race for a Juventus star who has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.

The Italian giants enjoyed a spectacular 2016/17 campaign, winning the Serie A title and making it to the final of the UEFA Champions League.

One of the Bianconeri's most consistent performers over the years has been defender Leonardo Bonucci, who has been chased by clubs across Europe as a result.

Real Madrid and Chelsea have shown interest in the centre back in recent months, but according to the Daily Mirror, it is Barcelona who now lead the race to secure his signature.

The English publication has claimed that if Bonucci does leave the Italian giants, he will seek a move to Ernesto Valverde's side.

The 30-year-old has played 319 games for Juventus so far, winning six league titles along the way.
