Reports: Arsenal, Manchester City & AS Monaco Involved In Massive Deadline Deal
Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City could finally agree a massive deadline day deal, but it seems AS Monaco have an important role to play.
Pep Guardiola remains keen to sign Alexis Sanchez from the Gunners, with the player reportedly desperate for the move.
According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, City have submitted a massive £55 million offer, plus another £5 million in add-ons, and Arsenal are prepared to sell but only under one condition.
The Gunners have asked City to wait for a few hours in order to try and secure Monaco's Thomas Lemar as a replacement.
Lemar had been heavily linked with a switch to Liverpool over the past few days, but according to Balague, Arsenal are confident of securing his transfer.
If the France international does indeed end up at Arsenal, manager Arsene Wenger will reportedly let wantaway striker Sanchez go.
The Chilean's current Arsenal contract expires at the end of this season, but he is keen to move before the window closes tonight.
