Report: Real Madrid Send Hands-Off Warning To Manchester United
Manchester United are reportedly interested in several Real Madrid stars, but Los Blancos appear to have sent a hands-off warning to Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese tactician is busy with his squad planning for next season, and Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and even Cristiano Ronaldo have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
While the latter seems more and more unlikely to leave Spain, Morata and Rodriguez could be allowed to leave.
However, the latest reports suggest that Gareth Bale might be on the club's exit list in order to make space for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.
Various English media have linked the Welshman with a blockbuster move to the Red Devils, but The Sun has now claimed that Real's bosses have sent a hands-off warning, via Madrid-based newspaper Marca, to United.
"Despite some suggesting Gareth Bale's time at Real Madrid might be coming to an end, the club's hierarchy and Zinedine Zidane see the Welshman as untouchable, and will not consider letting him leave," an article on Marca's website read.
Bale also recently confirmed that he is keen to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"We are winning trophies and I am happy. I have signed a long-term contract at Madrid," he said, as quoted by The Sun.
"My family is happy and I am happy, so, yes, we will continue what we are doing.
"I'll obviously do some work in the off-season to get stronger and ready for next season so I'll be firing on all cylinders."
Bale has made 150 appearances since arriving at Real for €101 million (R1.5 billion) in 2013, scoring 67 goals and assisting another 51 strikes along the way.
