The agent of a Real Madrid target has claimed the LaLiga giants are keen to secure his client's services in a bid to replace defender Marcelo, who "is off to Juventus".
The four-time UEFA Champions League winner played no part in Los Blancos'
3-0 loss to arch-rivals FC Barcelona in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday night, further fuelling speculation that he could be set for a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Serie A giants Juventus.
Having seemingly fallen out of favour at Real in recent times, largely being forced to play second fiddle to academy graduate Sergio Reguilon, Marcelo now seems poised to bring an end to his trophy-laden stay with the Madrid club.
However, Los Blancos have reportedly already started planning for life without the Brazilian, who joined the club in 2007 from Fluminense.
According to Tuttosport, Real have earmarked Argentina international Nicolas Tagliafico for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Ajax Amsterdam star's agent, Ricardo Schlieper, claiming the 13-time Champions League winners' want the left-back.
"Real Madrid have Taglaifico's name on their list because Marcelo is off to Juventus," Schlieper was quoted as saying by the Italian publication.
"But no one has called me yet."
The 26-year-old joined the Eredivisie giants from Argentine outfit Independiente in January 2018, and has made 45 appearances across all competitions for the Dutch club since, finding the back of the net on six occasions and being on hand to assist a further seven strikes.
