Official: FC Barcelona's Next Departure Revealed
Having released some of their fringe players, FC Barcelona have now revealed which first team regular will leave the club.
Third choice goalkeeper Jordi Masip was released on a free transfer, while Christian Tello, who spent the past three seasons out on loan, joined Real Betis.
Centre back Jeremy Mathieu is now the club's first regular starter set to leave, with the Catalan giants having announced that he will go on trial at Sporting Lisbon.
"FC Barcelona has granted permission for defender Jeremy Mathieu to train on a trial basis during his holidays with Sporting Club de Portugal. Once this period is over, the two clubs and the Frenchman will make a decision on the player's future," a statement on the Blaugrana's official website read.
The 33-year-old made 16 appearances for the Blaugrana last season, and 91 overall since joining the Camp Nou from Valencia in July 2014.
