De Bruyne Comments On City's Sanchez Pursuit

Kevin De Bruyne Comments On Manchester City's Alexis Sanchez Pursuit

Manchester City attacker Kevin De Bruyne has discussed Pep Guardiola's rumoured interest in Alexis Sanchez, who has reportedly requested to leave Arsenal.

Official: Monaco Confirm New Signings

The Citizens are said to be desperate to sign the Chilean before the window closes, with reports on Tuesday stating he has officially asked to leave the London club.

City have reportedly had a bid rejected for Sanchez, but De Bruyne feels the former FC Barcelona man would be a great signing for the club.

"He's a very good player, obviously, but I don't know what's happening about the other transfers," the Belgian told Sky Sports.

"I think City is doing the business perfectly this summer and if they want him, they will try everything to get him.

"And if he comes to us, that's a good addition."

De Bruyne also highlighted the importance of a swift transfer.

"A quick transfer is good. If it drags on, it can be annoying and I had to wait two or three weeks to join City," he added.

"Every time you go home, everyone asks what's happening? You say you're going, then the next day you say you're staying – it can be annoying.

"But everyone needs to be happy, both teams, the players. But when it's over, everyone is relieved."

Barca Chief Comments On Messi Exit Rumours

De Bruyne has scored 23 goals and assisted a further 37 strikes in 93 games for City since joining the club in 2015.
