After scoring on his return to the national team against Saudi Arabia on Monday, Italy striker Mario Balotelli could have a new home in the coming weeks, according to his agent Mino Raiola.
The 27-year-old, who will become a free agent on 1 July, has been linked with a return to Serie A in recent weeks – to Roma and Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli, in particular.
Raiola, Balotelli's agent, has now spoken about a potential move for his client and how his relationship with the Naples side's president Aurelio De Laurentiis could aid a transfer.
"You have to ask (incoming Napoli coach Carlo) Ancelotti. What I can say is that apart from Insigne, there is no one as strong as him (Balotelli)," Raiola said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
"Then it will depend on De Laurentiis. He will decide if he wants to reinforce the team or not.
"We have a special relationship with De Laurentiis. Our vision of things is often different – we have closed a few deals – but this does not mean anything.
"Napoli is back big just thanks to him and if he wants to see me, I'm available."
The former Inter Milan, AC Milan, Liverpool and Manchester City striker made 38 appearances for Nice in 2017/18, scoring 26 goals and assisting a further two strikes.
