In the next episode of our feature about which players could leave Europe’s top clubs, we discuss five stars that could be shown the exit door at FC Barcelona.
The 32-year-old right-back has been in fine form this season, as if he wanted to prove why he deserves a new contract at Camp Nou. Barcelona have reportedly offered the Brazilian a new deal, but it seems Alves is looking for more money, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen to sign him on a free deal.
Pedro has been a great servant to the club since joining the first team from Barcelona’s youth academy. However, year in and year out he finds himself on the bench. This season he started just over half of his 47 appearances, and is reportedly fed up with his bench role. Several English clubs would be keen on his services.
Many teammates and the staff are keen for Xavi to remain at Camp Nou, but the veteran midfielder will reportedly announce his departure to Qatari club El Sadd in a press conference on Thursday.
The 24-year-old’s future could depend on whether Dani Alves will stay or go. Montoya, who came through Barcelona’s youth academy, was supposed to be the long-term replacement for the Brazilian, but is unhappy with his lack of game time at Camp Nou.
Munir El Haddadi
The 19-year-old impressed during the early stages of Barcelona's campaign, while Luis Suarez was banned. However, he hasn’t featured in the first team since January and could be loaned out next season.
