With the transfer window closing in two days, a report has surfaced stating that a Bundesliga outfit are ready to make a shock bid for Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil.

Reports: Chelsea Agree Deal For Wantaway Arsenal Star

According to English publication the Daily Mirror, Borussia Dortmund are keen on bringing the Germany international to the Westfalenstadion.

Ozil, who is currently in the final year of his contract, is apparently playing with the idea of heading back home, where he played for the likes of Werder Bremen and Schalke before moving to Spain.

The report claimed that the Bundesliga side are looking to reinvest the £130 million (R2.20 billion) they have received for Ousmane Dembele after his move to FC Barcelona.

The 28-year-old has stalled on signing a new deal at the Emirates, but manager Arsene Wenger believes the player will sign a new contract with the club.

Henry Slams ‘Unwatchable’ Arsenal

The Arsenal star made 101 appearances in the Bundesliga for Werder Bremen and Schalke, scoring 13 goals and assisting 37 further strikes, before making the high-profile move to Real Madrid in 2010.

The idea of Ozil leaving the Emirates is not bad at all, Bundesliga suits his lethargic play. Riyad Marhez can do better at Arsenal

Unless Arsenal changes back to 4-3-3, right now they can sell him. The 3-4-3 doesn't really require a player like him .
