The Gabon international was believed to be a transfer target for Chelsea and AC Milan, following his impressive last campaign.

Reports in Germany claim that Dortmund gave clubs a deadline with regards to an offer, with the Bundesliga outfit valuing the player at €70 million.

However, the club's sporting director Michael Zorc has now pulled the plug on any potential exit for the striker.

"We consider the transfer window closed for him, because we otherwise would have run out of time [to find replacements]," Zorc was quoted as saying by ESPN.
