Griezmann To Man Utd Could Still Happen?

Antoine Griezmann To Manchester United Could Still Happen?

By Keegan Kruger - Jul 05, 2017 08:48 AM @KeeganKruger

A future move to Manchester United could still be on the cards for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann if his latest comments are anything to go by.

Reports: Real To Sell Three Stars For €150m

The France international was expected by many to be on his way to Old Trafford in this transfer window, but that all ended when his Spanish club's transfer ban from FIFA was upheld.

The 26-year-old has now insisted he could not have lived with himself if he left Atletico during these tough times – and also refused to rule out leaving the Rojiblancos ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

"To be honest, I don't know. I'm going to be here next season, after that, we'll see," Griezmann said when asked about his future, as quoted by The Sun.

"It's absurd to talk about something more than a year away.

"I stayed mainly because of the ban. Atletico needs me more than ever. It would be dirty to leave.

"I wouldn't have been myself or the person that I feel I am today if I had left the club in that way."

8 Stars Who Forced Their Own Transfers

Griezmann made 53 appearances for his La Liga club last season, scoring 26 goals and assisting 12 further strikes in all competitions.
