Los Blancos began their LaLiga campaign with a 2-0 win over Getafe, but reports in Spain suggest that Julen Lopetegui still wants to bring in new players before the deadline on 31 August. A striker is said to be Real's top priority, with Valencia's Rodrigo heavily linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to AS. However, Los Che boss Marcelino has insisted the UEFA Champions League winners will have to pay the player's full €120 million (R2 billion) buyout clause if they really want him.

Neymar's name also keeps on circulating around Madrid, although his arrival in this window seems unlikely, unless Paris Saint-Germain are forced to sell after receiving an unfavourable UEFA Financial Fair Play ruling. Lopetegui reportedly also still wants a defender, with Chelsea's Marcos Alonso having been linked with a move back to Spain.

Meanwhile, it look like Barca's transfer business for the window could be complete, although there are rumours linking them with a big-money move for Manchester United's Paul Pogba. However, United are not prepared to sell their club-record signing, according to The Sun.

PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Ajax Amsterdam's Frenkie de Jong are also said to be targets for the Catalan giants, but the Spanish side are believed to be in no hurry to complete these two deals.

Les Parisiens, though, seem keen to add new faces to their squad, with Filipe Luis being mentioned as Thomas Tuchel's preferred left-back target, according to AS. The Brazilian has reportedly already agreed personal terms with the French giants, who are also said to be interested in Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng.

Goncalo Guedes could still depart the Ligue 1 champions, with Valencia keen to sign the player, who starred on loan for the Spanish club last season, on a permanent deal before the window closes.
