Ernesto Valverde has begun his work at the Camp Nou, and has big boots to fill after Luis Enrique collected nine trophies during his three years at the club.

Enrique, though, left behind a squad that needs some revamping in order to rival Real Madrid for the La Liga and UEFA Champions League trophies next season.

Many rumours are floating around, but Barcelona have been linked closest with Hector Bellerin. The Blaugrana need a right back after failing to replace Dani Alves adequately, and the Arsenal player – a La Masia youth product – apparently wants to return.

In addition, Barca are reportedly prepared to go all out for Marco Verratti. The club's bosses apparently want to get the Italian at all cost, but Paris Saint-Germain seem hesitant to let him go. The latest reports suggest that Verratti might have to force the move himself.

In addition, it has been suggested that Blaugrana officials have met with representatives of Borussia Dortmund's talented winger Ousmane Dembele. The La Liga side tried to lure him to the Camp Nou last season, but he decided to join the Bundesliga outfit instead. Dortmund have no intention of selling one of their key players, though, and recent reports claim it would need a fee of £80 million (R1.3 billion) to convince them of a Dembele sale.
