Transfer deadline day is in full swing, and with there being a few big moves still in the pipeline, here are 10 famous Premier League deals that happened on the final day of the window, according to The Sun.

At the start of the Roman Abramovich era, former France international Claude Makelele was part of a deadline day move. In September 2003, the midfielder moved to Chelsea from Spanish giants Real Madrid for a fee of £16 million (R269 million).
Argentina duo Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano were also part of an interesting deal that happened on the final day of the window. The South Americans joined West Ham United in August 2006 and ended up taking the Premier League by storm.
England's all-time leading goalscorer Wayne Rooney signed for Manchester United in 2004 from his boyhood club Everton on the last day of the transfer window. The Red Devils paid £25.6 million (R430 million) for the striker, who ended up giving them 13 years of service.
FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez joined Merseyside giants Liverpool from Ajax Amsterdam on deadline day in 2011. The Reds paid £22.8 million (R383 million) for the Uruguayan star, who helped them mount a serious title challenge in 2014.
Others who made deadline day moves, according to The Sun, include Marouane Fellaini, Dele Alli, Ashley Cole, Hugo Lloris and Virgil van Dijk.
