Reports: Paris Saint-Germain Willing To Pay Cristiano Ronaldo More Money Than Neymar
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move away from Los Blancos, and it has now been claimed that Paris Saint-Germain would be willing to pay him more than what Neymar currently earns!
The Portuguese is believed to be unhappy in Spain, following his recently settled tax fraud scandal, and also because of Real’s failure to keep their promise of offering him a new contract.
After their UEFA Champions League final win over Liverpool in May, Ronaldo admitted that he was considering his future at the club, much to the surprise of many.
The forward has since been linked with Manchester United and PSG, though reports have suggested that Real are trying to convince him to stay.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the French club would be willing to pay him up to £40 million (R719 million) a year, which is more than Neymar’s £31 million (R558 million) a year salary.
The report also claims that PSG would be ready to spend £265 million (R4.7 billion) to secure his services, a fee that would break the current transfer record.
It is unlikely as to whether the Ligue 1 side would spend this kind of money with Neymar still at the club, while it is also said that many players will need to be sold for this transfer talk to materialise.
Ronaldo was on target to help Portugal claim a 1-0 win over Morocco in their second 2018 World Cup Group B clash on Wednesday afternoon.
