Real Madrid and Spain playmaker Isco has joked that he does not want to speak to Cristiano Ronaldo following his hat-trick for Portugal in their 2018 FIFA World Cup clash last week.
Ronaldo hit the back of the net three times in his country's 3-3 draw with La Furia Roja, and his performance is already being considered as one of the best individual displays in World Cup history.
Isco, a Los Blancos colleague of the 33-year-old, was in superb form himself in that Group B clash, and has since joked during a recent interview that he will not speak to Ronaldo after his three goals, which included an unstoppable free-kick.
"Don't talk to me about Cristiano!" he told Cadena SER.
"I'm not going to speak to him again after what he did the other day.
"He doesn't have a high strike rate (from free-kicks), but when he has his day… his first two goals gave him confidence and got him looking for his hat-trick."
Portugal will take on Morocco in their second Group B clash on Wednesday afternoon, while Spain will face Iran later that evening.
