Spain began their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign in Group B with a 1-1 draw against Greece at Estadio Los Carmenes.
Alvaro Morata broke the deadlock for La Roja in the 33rd minute but Anastasios Bakasetas snatched the equaliser for Greece 11 minutes inside the second stanza from the penalty spot.

Calvert-Lewin scored both is goals in the first stanza, with James Ward-Prowse and Raheem Sterling also giving the Three Lions a 4-0 at the break before Ollie Watkins put the icing on the cake with the fifth goal in the last seven minutes.

Germany opened their Group J campaign on a high note after thrashing Iceland 3-0 at Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena.
Leon Goretzka and Kai Havertz gave Die Mannschaft a two-goal lead inside the first seven minutes and IIkay Gundogan killed off the game with third goal 11 minutes from the break.
Sweden 1-0 Georgia
Sweden had a winning start in Group B after edging Georgia 1-0 at Friends Arena.
Viktor Claesson broke the deadlock for Sweden ten minutes before the break and that proved to be the winner, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic getting an assist on his return to international football.
Hungary 3-3 Poland
Robert Lewandowski got a late equaliser for Poland as they forced a draw in a six-goal thriller against Hungary in their opening match of Group I.
Roland Sallai and Adam Szalai gave Hungary a two-goal lead before Krzysztof Piatek and Kamil Jozwiak netted two goals from behind to equalise for the visitors.
Willi Orban thought he had snatched the winner for Hungary in the last 12 minutes but Lewandowski rescued a point for Poland with the equaliiser eight minutes before time.
