Arda Turan scored and set up another, as Turkey secured a 3-0 win over the Netherlands in their European Championship qualifier on Sunday night.
The home side opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Oguzhan Ozyakup latched onto a pass from Arda Turan, before lobbing the on-rushing Jasper Cillessen.
The Dutch nearly hit back in the 14th minute when Luciano Narsingh combined with Robin Van Persie, before seeing his effort palmed away by Babacan.
Turkey squandered an opportunity to extend their lead in the 20th minute, as Aziz rose highest to meet Hakan Calhanoglu's free-kick but his header sailed just over the crossbar.
Wesley Sneijder could have leveled matters moments later when he was teed up by Van Persie but the Galatsaray midfielder fired his effort straight Babacan from close range.
The hosts then doubled their advantage in the 26th minute when Turan did well to beat Stefan De Vrij and Daley Blind, before firing home a low effort past Cillessen, who should have done better.
Danny Blind's men squandered another chance shortly after the halftime break when Memphis picked out an un-marked Georginio Wijnaldum, who failed to hit the target from six-yards out.
Memphis then went close to reducing the deficit for Netherlands in the 56th minute but Babacan was on hand to keep out the winger's effort from distance.
After continuous spells of the Dutch attacks, Turkey managed to grab a third in the 85th minute when Caner Erkin picked out Burak Yılmaz to rifle home from inside the box.
With the win, Turkey leapfrog the Dutch into third spot, while Blind's men drop to fourth spot in Group A.
