The 46-year-old is currently without a job, after leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season following three successive UEFA Champions League titles.
Overall, Zidane won a staggering nine trophies in just two-and-a-half years at Santiago Bernabeu, but he insisted the club and himself needed a new challenge.
Following his spell at Los Blancos, he is highly regarded and has been chased by many clubs, but it is suggested he will only take the right job.
Latest reports by AS have linked the Frenchman with a move to Chelsea, where he could replace under-fire Maurizio Sarri at the end of the campaign.
Zidane, though, has established two conditions for taking over at Stamford Bridge, namely a transfer budget of €200 million (R3.2 billion) and that Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard remains at the club.
Hazard has been linked with a move to Zidane’s former club and is yet to commit to the Blues, with his current deal running out in 2020.
Sarri, meanwhile, has come under massive pressure at Chelsea after dropping to sixth place in the Premier League and being knocked out of the FA Cup.
Zidane, though, has also been linked with Blues’ rivals United, though it remains to be seen whether he will come back into management next season.
