Yaya Toure Makes Big Paul Pogba Claim
Departing Manchester City legend Yaya Toure, who has not always had it easy in England, has now compared Paul Pogba's situation at Manchester United to his own struggles, before making a big prediction about the Frenchman's future.
Toure, who will be leaving the Citizens after eight seasons, has gone on to become one of the Premier League's most decorated players after winning three league titles, three League Cups and one FA Cup during his stay at the Etihad.
The 34-year-old, who had had his fair share of critics, believes Pogba is receiving the same criticism he did when he arrived from FC Barcelona in 2010, and has backed the former Juventus star to prove everyone wrong just as he was able to.
"I always loved to prove people wrong," Toure told the BBC.
"I was put under a lot of pressure, as Paul Pogba, who has similar characteristics to me, is now. I believe Pogba will become the perfect player.
"Moreover, if they are honest, the people who said things about me will say they were wrong."
The Frenchman has endured a difficult season at Old Trafford, and was, at one stage, left out of Jose Mourinho's first team due to some poor performances.
The 25-year-old, who has an FA Cup final still to play with United this season, has made 35 appearances for the Red Devils in this campaign, scoring six goals and assisting a further 12 strikes.
